🏠︎ The Longest Night, Done Right 🌞
Tomorrow is the longest night of the year. Plus free a Community Christmas Dinner, Live Music, and of course some Santa!
Ms. Chloe Clark, a student-teacher in Ms. Ellis’s second-grade class at Highland Park Elementary, has accepted a teaching position at Bixby Middle School teaching 6th-grade Math. She’s arriving at her new job well prepared with a degree from OSU and over 2 ½ years of teaching experience. She worked as a special education assistant for a year and a half before transitioning into Ms. Ellis’s class as a student intern.
Originally from Woodward, OK, Chloe is graduating from OSU and plans to continue with a Master’s degree in education while in Bixby. Her teaching philosophy is “rooted in empathy, flexibility, and collaboration,” she says. “I believe that every student, regardless of their abilities or challenges, deserves access to quality education and opportunities for personal and academic growth.” Chloe says. For Ms. Ellis, the parting is bittersweet. “We are all so excited for her, but we will miss Ms. Clark dearly.”
Just local happenings. Delivered every Thursday morning.
