Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma was named the Large Agency of the Year at the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America National Conference in June. The recognition is the top annual award given by BBBSA and underscores BBBSOK’s superior performance in program growth, youth outcomes, operations, and financial stewardship.

"We are deeply honored to receive the Agency of the Year award," said Melissa Ramirez, BBBSOK CEO. "This recognition is a testament to the incredible dedication of our staff, volunteers, and supporters who work tirelessly to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people throughout Oklahoma. It inspires us to continue expanding our impact and reaching more children who can benefit from the power of one-to-one mentoring."

BBBSOK also won awards for growing the number of matches served year-over-year, and marketing excellence in volunteer recruitment and fundraising events.

Every year, leaders from Big Brothers Big Sisters affiliates across the country come together to celebrate being “Bigger Together” at the Big Brothers Big Sisters National Conference. This year, six members from the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma leadership team flew to Dallas, Texas for five days of specialized training sessions and workshops to celebrate our impact at a national level and learn about the latest strategies in implementing one-to-one mentoring program.

As the leading youth mentoring organization in Oklahoma, BBBSOK has consistently demonstrated measurable outcomes in education attainment, avoidance of risky behaviors, and improved self-confidence among mentored youth. The Agency of the Year award reaffirms BBBSOK’s position as a catalyst for positive change in the community and its role in shaping the next generation.
